Usenet - Alternatives To Television Services - ColouriseSG

Bruce Mittelman will give a presentation on Usenet, the oldest operating Internet discussion platform. Consisting of well over 100,000 newsgroups, Usenet offers forums filled with discussions on virtually every topic under the sun - from music, computers, cooking, photography, and much, much more. And it also offers access to binaries in the form of pictures, programs, audio, and video that you can easily download to your own computer. Bruce will show you how Usenet works and what you need to get started.

Louis Perez will give another installment of his "Magical Mystery Tour of the Web" which focuses on interesting websites related to a specific topic. This month's topic will be "Alternatives To Televison Services".

Mark Astmann will show colourise.sg, the website that allows you to easily turn old black-and-white photos into colour photos using deep learning AI.

Squoosh - Cable Alternatives - Making Computer Accessories From Everyday Items

Bruce Mittelman will show you how to craft accessories for your computer out of everyday items.

Louis Perez will give another installment of his "Magical Mystery Tour of the Web" which focuses on interesting websites related to a specific topic. This month's topic will be "Cable Service Alternatives: The Internet".

Mark Astmann will give a demonstration of Squoosh, the web tool that lets you compress and reformat pictures from within your browser.

Luminar 3 - Permute - Downie - Rottenwood - Snagit 2019

Bruce Mittelman will give a demonstration of Luminar 3, an image editor and photo library rolled into one.

Scott Alenick will present three programs from Charlie Monroe Software: Permute, Downie and Rottenwood. Permute allows you to easily convert your media files to various different formats by simply dragging and dropping. Downie allows you to easily download videos from thousands of websites. Rottenwood gives you a centralized location for listing the movies you've seen or want to see, to mark them as favorites, or even to make notes about them, all in an attractive interface complete with advanced search features.

Mark Astmann will show the new features in Snagit 2019, the screen capture software that allows you to easily take custom screenshots and recordings.
