Holiday Party - Google Home vs. Amazon Echo vs. Apple Siri - 3 Things To Know - Magical Mystery Tour
This month we'll have our annual Holiday Party and Meeting where we will eat, drink, and learn about all of the latest and greatest things in tech. And we'll be having an NJMUG Swap 'N Shop where everyone can bring unwanted Tech, electronics, and other devices to sell or give away to someone else. So round up your stuff and bring it to the meeting!
Bruce Mittelman will give a comparison of the voice-activated assistants Google Home, Amazon Echo, and Apple's Siri.
George Ajjan will give another installment of "Three Things To Know On Your Mac " in which he'll show interesting tips and tricks that anyone can use to improve their Macintosh workflows.
Louis Perez will give another installment of his popular "Magical Mystery Tour of the Web" where he presents a collection of interesting and useful site from around the web. This month's tour will focus on holiday gift sites.

macOS Sierra - Opus Domini - Email Scams - Onboard vs. External Mics
Mark Astmann will continue our coverage Apple's latest major operating system macOS Sierra. With new features like Siri on the Mac, a Universal Clipboard between macOS and iOS, iCloud Drive, Apple Pay, Optimized Storage, Apple Watch enabled macOS login and much, much more, macOS Sierra is Apple's most advanced operating system to date.
Mark will also give a demonstration of Opus Domini, the personal planner and management application that enables you to make plans, schedule times for them and complete your goals while keeping up with your everyday tasks.
Jerry Glacken will give a brief presentation of recognizing and avoiding email scams. He'll show you how to understand what they are, what they look like, how they work and what you can do to avoid them.
Jerry Gherardi will give a discussion of using on-board vs. external microphones with you recording devices.

Bruce Mittelman will give part one of an in-depth presentation of Apple's latest major operating system macOS Sierra. Bob Helmond and Jerry Glacken will talk about physical computer security. Sure everyone is using strong passwords, encrypted Wi-Fi, Virtual Private Networks, and other means to secure their computers, networks and communications. But what happens when someone gains physical access to your machine? Bob and Jerry will discuss just what can happen and how quickly things can go wrong.

Catherine Mascis will give a demonstration of OmmWriter, the simple text editor for writers that allows you to concentrate while writing.
Mark Astmann will give a presentation of PhotoCard, the iOS app that allows you to create custom postcards using your own personal photos and send them by email or postal mail from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch.
